SOUTH MILFORD SURGERY NOTICE BOARD


Extended GP Opening Times

 

Our proposals to open additional hours during the week have been agreed by the Primary Care Trust and therefore commencing 7th July 08 our surgery in South Milford will be open as follows:

 

Monday                 8.00 am – 7.30pm
Tuesday               7.00 am – 6.00pm
Wednesday           8.00 am – 6.00pm
Thursday               8.00 am – 6.00pm
Friday                   8.00 am – 6.00pm

 

 

We do hope our patients find the early and late opening of benefit, should this not be the case and the appointments are not fully utilised the situation will be reviewed again.

 

FLU VACCINES - We book appointments for the flu vaccines at the end of August each year.  If you suffer from ASTHMA, HEART TROUBLE, DIABETES OR KIDNEY DISEASE OR YOU ARE AGED 65 OR OVER, you should make an appointment for your annual vaccination then - please contact the reception team, do not wait to be called.

-Prescription orders & Change of prescription order line - The dispensary phone opening hours have changed and will now be open from 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Alternatively to order prescriptions you may post your order slip, drop your order in at the surgery or order on line.

Appointments and Prescriptions on line - you can now book appointments and order your prescriptions on line - via this website - Please click on the 'click here to book appointments on line' icon and you will be able to book appts and order prescritions if you have registered to do this with our reception staff.   If you have not registered you can still order your prescription on line via email please click on the prescrptions on line icon on our homepage and follow the instructions. The surgery will eventually only offer one way of ordering prescriptions on line depending on which is the most used and efficient but during the trial period both methods may be used. If you have not yet registered to book and cancel appts on line just ask our reception staff for a registration form and pin number.

Accident and Emergencies: Minor injuries such as small cuts which may need suturing, sprains, head injuries (without loss of conciousness)etc can often be dealt with by the practice. It is worth giving us a call before you travel to the local A&E department as the practice nurse may be able to see you at short notice.

Ambulance bookings.  The practice is no longer responsible for booking ambulances for patients travelling to hospital to attend out patient appointments. Patients requiring ambulances for hospital appointments should now telephone Hospital Transport Services on 0870 600 0668
