COVID-19 Vaccination for Travel Abroad
Non-urgent advice: Please do not contact the surgery for proof of your COVID-19 vaccination
We cannot provide letters showing your COVID-19 vaccination status.
The mechanism for proving your vaccine status is:-
- Through the NHS app via mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet, proof of your COVID-19 vaccination will be shown within the NHS App. We recommend that you register with the App before booking international travel, at least 2 weeks before your departure date and once you’ve had a full course of vaccinations, which is currently 2 doses of an approved vaccine.
- By calling 119. For those who cannot access the NHS app you can request written proof that you have received your Covid-19 vaccination by contacting the NHS on 119. A letter will be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your full course of the vaccine which is currently 2 doses of an approved vaccine. We expect the letter to take up to 5 working days to reach you.
